Spread across 12 acres, Sri Ragavendra Coir Factory is equipped with a modern production facility, including a dedicated 12,000 sq. ft. washing plant and 10,000 sq. ft. concrete drying yards. Our advanced infrastructure enables us to manufacture premium-quality coco peat and coir products while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, consistency, and sustainability.
We procure high-quality coir pith directly from trusted fibre factories. The raw material is carefully aged in our storage yards before undergoing a thorough fresh water washing process to reduce impurities and improve quality. After washing, the material is naturally sun-dried in hygienic concrete drying yards and inspected to ensure it meets our strict quality standards.

Production Principles

Raw material:
The production process involves soaking mature coconut husks in water to soften them, ensuring high-quality raw materials for Raga products, except for the crush material.

Extraction:
All materials in Sri Ragavendra Coir products are sourced directly from the husk, guaranteeing purity and reliability in each batch.

Double Sieving (Removal of Long Fibers and Dust):
The final stage involves double sieving, which removes long fibers and dust. This critical step guarantees that each product meets SAI’s precise quality and uniformity standards, resulting in superior coir substrates for optimal plant growth.
Production Process
At Sri Ragavendra Coir Factory, we produce 100% natural cocopeat substrates in a neutral medium,
free from chemicals, making our products recyclable and eco-friendly.
All our products undergo a four-stage production process to guarantee quality and consistency:
Washing
Substrates requiring low electrical conductivity are thoroughly washed to meet precise standards.
Drying
Substrates are dried to achieve the exact moisture content required for compaction and optimal performance.
Texture Refinement
All blends of substrates are sifted to remove large particles and ensure a consistent texture.
Sorting
Materials are classified according to their conductivity and moisture content.
